  TULUM

The Riviera Maya, an
80-mile stretch of coast located in the Yucatan peninsula between Cancun in the north and Tulum in the south, is amazingly full of things to do.

CAVERN AND CAVE DIVING:
Within 30 miles of Tulum are well over 50 cenotes/cave systems to explore.

OCEAN DIVING:
the Mexican Caribbean offers great diving, from the walls of Cozumel to the soft corals and sponges around Tulum. A fanstastic location for technical diving and training, with various depth plateaus reaching down to satisfy even the most extreme mixed-gas diving,

MAYAN CULTURE:
the Yucatan peninsula is studded with pre-Columbian Mayan temples and archaeological sites such as Cobá, Chichen Itza, Ek Balam and Tulum. You will find plenty of opportunity to find something for your family and friends back home,

BEACHES:
beautiful white beaches to relax on or for all kinds of water sports on the clear turquoise Caribbean waters,

NIGHT LIFE & SHOPPING:
every night is Saturday night in nearby Playa del Carmen, great for shopping or clubbing. A more relaxed atmosphere can be enjoyed here in Tulum, without forgoing fun and quality nightlife.

TULUM:

Located about 45 minutes south of Playa del Carmen, Tulum is merely yards away from the best cave diving of the Riviera Maya - with over 50 cave systems in the area, this really is "CAVE HEAVEN"!

Tulum, where we are based, is a phenomenal location for the following reasons:

CAVE DIVING:
many caves are between 2 and 15 minutes by car.

ACTIVITIES:
beach, fishing, open water diving, dining and shopping.

ACCOMMODATION:
we have a few double bedrooms for rent at our facility, a 5-minute walk from "downtown" Tulum and a 10 minute bicycle ride from the first beach.

QUALITY LOCATION:
a quiet enclave on the Mexican Caribbean, perfect for single divers or groups, as well as non-diving family members, which is only minutes from the archaeological sites and beaches of Tulum.

HOW TO GET HERE:

By air

Fly into Cancun airport (airport code: CUN), Tulum is less than 90 minutes south on Highway 307. The road is two lanes in each direction all the way from Cancun airport to Tulum, making traveling by road a lot less stressful!!!

TRANSPORTATION:

You can rent your own vehicle (we can help you with that as well), you can use the "colectivo" service in any direction or you can call a taxi.

CLIMATE:

Located just within the tropics, the Riviera Maya enjoys sunshine most of the year, with temperatures ranging from 75°F+ (25°C+) in the winter to 90°F+ (30°C+) in the summer.

The winter months tend to be drier and evenings are usually pleasantly cool, whereas the summer months can be very humid and hot, even at night. However, we are blessed with a year-round breeze that takes the edge off the heat.
